One Percent Pledge

Hello all! I know I not a very prolific blogger by any stretch of the word but I will be working on it (ah, New Years, my list get's bigger every year). So, to begin, we here at LollyPOP Vintage have been thinking about a way to give back to the wonderful community that has graciously given us our home but as a newer small business it seems that funds are always stretched a little thin. After some research I came across The One Percent Foundation and was struck by the simplicity of it. One percent is so doable for almost anyone really and it's a great way to get started giving. Granted, we are not joining the actual website as as we want to have all our funds to benefit the charities we have chosen but we are taken the pledge. LollyPOP Vintage is picking a different local charity every month to sponsor. This month it is The Phoenix Shanti Group, an amazing organization that helps people who are effected by HIV/AIDS. One percent of our gross this month will go to them and for every new "like" we receive on Facebook this month we will donate an additional quarter as well (you can like us on the right side of this page or share this post to encourage your friends to "like" us). We know it does not sound too Earth shattering but every little bit helps. We encourage everyone to take the pledge and get started giving to the causes you believe in!
